Work is continuing with the legal team representing the local Parish Councils on both the Forty Acres Appeal and the case for the wider issue of the proposed Green Belt extension. The Local Plan hearings began today although the Green Belt hearing is not due to take place until November. The Forty Acres Appeal starts on 1st December.
This video that has been put together on the Parish Council’s behalf contains a series of photographs that demonstrate the character of the site and the important part it plays in keeping the local communities of East Malling, Larkfield, Leybourne and West Malling from joining together.
Hundreds of people objected to the Forty Acres applications and similarly there was overwhelming support during the Local Plan consultations for an extension of the Green Belt eastwards at least as far as Wateringbury Road.
A lot of hard work has already been done but there is still more to do. If you would like to support the Parish Council’s campaign on these matters please visit their Crowdjustice page using the link below. Every £1 counts.
