Report It – Useful Links

Inevitably problems arise from time to time and will need reporting for action.  You might spot a pothole, an overhanging tree, an overflowing bin, a blocked drain, a dead animal on the road, or someone behaving antisocially. If you see something that needs reporting but don’t know where to turn you can always let us know.  We can point you in the right direction or may be able to report the matter for you.

We have listed below some of the most commonly sought information when it comes to reporting issues.  If the problem you are concerned with is not listed and you would like our help please contact us

Kent County Council is responsible for maintaining the county’s extensive highway network including public roads, footways and cycleways.

Highway issues can be reported on line by visiting https://www.kent.gov.uk/roads-and-travel/report-a-problem

Problems with the rights of way network, including broken stiles, damaged or missing signposts, overgrown vegetation, fallen trees, or damaged or dangerous path surfaces can be reported at https://www.kent.gov.uk/waste-planning-and-land/public-rights-of-way/report-a-problem-on-a-right-of-way#tab-1

Please note that motorways and trunk roads are the responsibility of the Highways England so any potholes or other safety issues that you come across on, for example, the M20, would need to be reported directly to them.  You can do this by telephoning 0300 123 5000 (24 hours) or by emailing info@highwaysengland.co.uk

Tonbridge & Malling Borough Council has a number of environmental  responsibilities including household waste collection, sweeping roads and pavements, emptying litter bins and dealing with fly tipping and graffiti.

You can report any waste related issues by email to waste.services@tmbc.gov.uk or by telephoning 01732 876147

If you have a Smartphone we highly recommend downloading and using the Littergram app for reporting litter, fly tipping and overflowing bins.

The Council’s Environmental Protection Service is your point of contact if you are concerned about problems with noise, light, smells, and bonfire pollution.  For further information please visit https://www.tmbc.gov.uk/services/environment-and-planning/pollution/nuisances and following the relevant links.

If your concern relates to dogs – stray or lost dogs, dog fouling, dangerous dogs or dogs that are barking constantly – please visit https://www.tmbc.gov.uk/services/environment-and-planning/environmental-health/dog-warden-service
